Metro Mining Investor Conference Successfully Held; CEO Simon Wensley Engages with Global Investors

On the afternoon of August 17th, the Metro Mining Ltd. (ASX: MMI) Investor Conference, hosted by the Hong Kong Energy, Mining and Commodities Association (HKEMCA) and co-organized by HGNH International Financial Co. Ltd., was successfully held at HGNH's Wan Chai office. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format, attracting numerous local and overseas investors.

Metro Mining is an independent bauxite producer in Australia. Its flagship project, Bauxite Hills Mine, located in Cape York in far north Queensland, holds a mining portfolio of approximately 19,000 hectares with estimated ore reserves of 101.5 million tonnes and total resources of 131.2 million tonnes.

 

Speaker Shares Latest Company Developments

 

Metro Mining CEO and Managing Director Simon Wensley was present to introduce the operational status and future development plan of the company's flagship project, Bauxite Hills Mine, to the attendees. Wensley, holding a degree from Oxford University and an INSEAD MBA, previously a senior position at Rio Tinto and possesses extensive international mining experience. He mentioned the company's 2026 shipment guidance of 6.6 million to 7.1 million wet metric tons and shared his forward-looking views on the global bauxite market supply and demand landscape.

A Q&A session was held, with on-site and online investors from overseas actively asking questions on topics such as capacity expansion, cost control, and commodity cycles, engaging in in-depth interaction with the speakers. Attendees showed great interest in Metro Mining's growth strategy, resulting in a lively exchange.
