Addressing the forum in the opening remark by Mr. Ricky Suhendar, the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia Hong Kong SAR & Macao SAR, quoted the latest statistics of investment in Indonesia by HKSAR based corporates to highlight that the economic relations between HKSAR and the Republic of Indonesia are flourishing despite of the pandemic.

On the latest investment opportunities in the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ridha D.M. Wirakusumah, CEO of Indonesia Investment Authority (INA), gave fruitful sources of information about three main pillars for Indonesia G20 2022 Presidency and key focus sectors for investment 2022 by INA.

With an overview of the Indonesia's economic and investment climate, Ms. Shinta Kamdani, Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry / Chair of B20, focused on the strong Indonesia's global market volatility, latest fiscal incentives and investment opportunities in the 4 clusters of investment priority sectors.

For the panel discussion, guest speakers shared their experiences of exploring their business opportunities by investing in Indonesia's digital transformation sector.

The Republic of Indonesia, as a country of BRI and ASEAN, the amount of trade in goods between HKSAR and her reached over US$5 billion in 2021 that HKSAR is the second-largest source of foreign direct investment of the Republic of Indonesia last year.
